LONE TREE CO — Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) today welcomed the Trump Administration’s announcement that $169.6 million in Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) funding is being delivered to 91 grantees and roughly 250 projects statewide — including rural and frontier communities across Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.“

House Republicans kept another promise,” said Rep. Boebert. “We said we would fight for rural hospitals, and today the money is arriving. That includes the Eastern Plains and rural Fourth District communities I represent — places where a closed ER is not a talking point, it is a life-or-death problem.”

Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District Impact:\ Colorado’s Fourth District includes many of the rural and frontier counties eligible for this funding, including Yuma, Phillips, Washington, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Cheyenne, Elbert, Logan, Morgan, Baca-adjacent plains communities, and qualifying rural census tracts in Weld County. Hospitals Rep. Boebert highlighted in her September 11 *Colorado Politics* op-ed — Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke and Wray Community District Hospital — sit in the heart of that service area.

“I wrote that column after walking the halls in Holyoke and Wray,” Rep. Boebert said. “Those visits are why I fought for this program. Families in Yuma, Wray, Hugo, Limon, Burlington, Sterling, Fort Morgan, and rural Weld should not have to drive to the Front Range for specialty care.”

The RHTP is a five-year, $50 billion federal initiative administered by CMS, with Colorado positioned to receive more than $1 billion over five years. CMS said the investment will support telemedicine in ICUs and inpatient settings, remote patient monitoring, mobile clinics, community paramedicine, behavioral health, substance use disorder care, maternal and pediatric services, electronic health records, and training for rural EMS providers on lifesaving whole-blood transfusions.
