New City Council Member Appointed

At the January 14, 2025 regular meeting of the Las Animas City Council, Richard (Rick) Stwalley was appointed to the City Council. Stwalley is appointed to the Precinct 10, Ward 1 spot of the City Council to replace former councilman Troy Abdulla, who announced his resignation in December of 2024.

Stwalley has served on numerous boards icluding ARPA (Arkansas River Power Authority) of which he is the longest continuously serving board member. He hopes to bring a positive impact to the council and the City of Las Animas.
